International Multidistrict online workshop
Please forward immediately to a 12 to 30-year-old near you! Organized by Rotary Districts in India, Pakistan, the Maldives and more, this combination workshop and contest aims to empower young people to upcycle potential trash and repurpose it as a useful item, art work or…the sky’s the limit! But the deadline to register is Jan 15, 2023.
According to the organizers, “Upcycling is the process of transforming by-products, waste materials, useless, or unwanted products into new materials or products perceived to be of greater quality, such as artistic, commercial or environmental value. It reforms & refurnishes the waste for another usage. It converts waste into value added products to save resources. Youth can do Upcycling activities to earn money, save resources & protect the environment. “
The registration process allows participants to choose a preferred workshop date, and will trigger a follow-up email with more information about the process, which will include creating a poster and/or 30-second video to present the product or art created. The final presentation of the creations and prize selection is tentatively scheduled to occur online Feb. 19 and 20.
